I love our Pride window and what I love about it m

I love our Pride window and what I love about it most is what it means. It means all are welcome. It means that there are books for young people which represent them. It means kindness and compassion. It means that people can feel free to be true to themselves.
So, to the man who quoted scripture at me and said I was 'promoting homosexuality', I say this. As the step mother of a gay daughter, we didn't read her books about being gay (there weren't any when she was small), she didn't wake up one morning and decide she didn't like boys, she didn't choose a life where, even now, holding her fiancee's hand in the street, draws attention. It's simply who she is. And we love her. And we will continue to be an ally to her and to others for always.
I did say all of this to the man and his wife (but a lot less eloquently).
The purpose of this post is just to say, we all have a duty to protect freedom, promote inclusivity and diversity and be a nice human. None of us are getting out of this alive, so live and let live. And buy books. About LGBTQI+ people. By LGBTQI+ people. They are unlikely to change your sexuality but they might change your mind 🏳️‍🌈📖🐛🐉❤
